WELCOME NASHVILLE PROJECT

Filipinos who arrive in Tennessee, whether it is work related, internship for a college degree, permanent residency and other reasons, are being welcomed by FABC through the Welcome Nashville project. This project assists newly arrived Filipinos who may need help with every day living such as clothing especially for the winter, furnitures for the apartment, transportation and other basic needs. FABC coordinates with its Ministry Partners and Volunteers who may be able to provide these needs. These Filipinos are introduced to the Filipino-American community through the FABC where they can connect with other people.

WELCOMING THE NEWLY ARRIVED FILIPINOS IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

HALO-HALO EVENT

The "Halo-Halo" event was first held in the summer of 2015 when FABC was still in the works. The event is usually being held at a park during summer time. It is called "Halo-Halo" because aside from the different foods served during the event, the main dessert is  "halo-halo" which is a popular Filipino dessert with mixtures of shaved ice, evaporated milk, sugar, and various ingredients including fruits.

The "Halo-Halo" event is an ultimate summer time treat for anyone who wants to enjoy the outdoors while meeting new people, starting friendships and having fellowship with one another. It introduces the Filipino-American Bible Church to anyone who may be looking for a church home and family.

CHRISTMAS FOR THE LEAST OF THESE

FABC in cooperation with the Compassionate Hope Foundation holds a fund raising dinner event every December for the "least of these". The "least of these" are those children who have been victims of human trafficking and religious persecution in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.

The Compassionate Hope Foundation rescued these children and placed them in the Villages of Hope, which provides a community-like experience so they may recover and thrive. The funds raised from the event are given to the foundation so that they can hold a Christmas party and provide Christmas gifts for these children.
